People want their business to be successful but they focus on the wrong things or set their goals too short-sighted. Being attached to one result or a single outcome can be okay if you are willing to develop a process to get from where you are to where you want to be. Not having a plan or not executing a plan will hold you back–I know it sounds so obvious but people need to hear this!
Are you currently stalling or self-sabotaging due to a lack of commitment, a fear of success, or a feeling that it will be too much work? Success isn’t about the end result, it’s about the decisions you make and the process that you create along the way that pushes you to the next level as a human being. Results without the process can feel empty, meanwhile focusing on the process leaves you feeling much more centered and grounded in every step including the success.
So, let’s focus on those three steps that will help you achieve success.
First, are you committed to your business? Your Goal? Your process? Start with your vision, are you looking to grow your retail store? How are you going to do that, what steps do you need to take? Once you have realized those steps you need to be fully committed to that vision and how you are going to get there. Don’t let everything else bog your down, which includes fear! Don’t let failures of the past haunt you, instead let go of the things that are holding you back in the name of commitment to your goal.
In doing this you need to let go of the fear of failure. IN A SMART WAY! We aren’t wasting money. We are being okay with failing at something because that is something you can learn from. I help my clients by setting impossible goals with them, this impossible goal helps to alleviate the stress of failure. We know not every part of it will work, but at least one of them will work! This will reveal your potential and your strengths! Failure is really just an opportunity to reset and do it again even better!
Lastly, you need to believe in your ability to figure it out! Thomas Edison, the Founding Fathers, Louie Pasteur, or Jonas Salk, none of them had a guidebook, they figured it out! But, that doesn’t mean you need to do it on your own! Even I ask for help, no one can do everything themselves. Find your resources, your experts, your superpowers, and which superpowers you need to help you grow your business. Focus on one small step, can you solve this problem or do you have a teammate who can solve the problem? You will find the best way for this to work for you and your team–this is a commitment to your business! So, to do something that no one’s ever done before, there’s nobody that’s going to tell you, “Do it exactly like this,” because then guess what? Then you’re just a cookie-cutter like everybody else, right?
Your three key things to help you move forward:
- Your level of commitment.
- Your willingness to fail and get back up and keep going.
- Your ability to figure things out.
