In any business both vision and strategy are important. But what do you work on first?
Most business owners want to start with the strategy but in reality it’s important to start with the Vision. A strategy without a vision is like trying to build a house without a blueprint and without pouring the foundation. You can have the best strategies in the world to build your visibility, increase your marketing and sell more but if you don’t have a clear, compelling vision for where you want to go, what you’re all about and how you want to make an impact your business can only go so far.
At one point in time every business owner finds themselves in a position where they stop growing, they can’t attract the right team, they start working longer hours to push through and eventually they burn out. Taking the time to create your vision will help you to discover the right strategies to grow and thrive. The clearer your vision the more the strategies and new opportunities will present themselves.

So many people underestimate what they’re able to do in one year’s time frame and even in one month’s time frame and they WAYYY over estimate what they can do in 1 day. Crazy, right?! Focusing on where we want to go and what we want to do, not based on where we are today but where we want to get to keeps us focused and centered on what is important. It keeps us focused on the “why” in our business and the impact we want to make in this world.
