What do you want to be known for? Ever since I was a little girl, I would always say that I wanted to be somebody great, someone who has achieved great things. Growing up with this mindset and expanding on it over the years, I’ve come to realize that greatness isn’t external. It’s not about the big things you do, but it’s about being what you want to be known for. It’s an internal energy that needs to be brought out in how you show up for the world. How you interact with those around you, the impacts you make on other people’s lives, that is what determines greatness.

When you think about what it is in your business you want to be known for, the first step is starting from within. You aren’t going to be known for simply being rich or successful, but rather the difference you make in the world. How you present yourself in all situations, good or bad, is how you will be remembered.

With the recent and tragic passing of Kobe Bryant, you can see through the media that he was revered as one of the greats. Sure, he was a talented basketball player, but that’s not what made his reputation. Standing for things he believed in and staying in alignment with what was important to him are what set him apart and we can all learn a little something from.

Success can be a slow and steady process, so instead of stressing on becoming a millionaire overnight, lean your focus more towards finding out what impact you want to leave on the world. Think of all of the possibilities that will come when you start believing in yourself and all that you stand for and are not afraid to fail along the way. Adversity presents itself to all of us and how you handle it will be your legacy. For me, my legacy will be showing others how to do just this. To break out of their molds and really rise to their highest potential, all while teaching them how to allow their staff and those around them to reach their potential as well.

Am I in alignment with what I want?

Are you grateful for everything in your life and approach each and every day with intention?

Are you helping others to rise to their highest potential?

Ask yourself these questions every day. It’s not about the job, it’s not about telling people what to do. It’s about carrying yourself in a way that reflects what your intentions are and helping those around you to understand them so they can do their part.

You have one amazing life, what are you going to do with it? Once you know the answer to that, focus on showing up each and every day in whatever manner it takes to reach those goals.
