Most people’s train of thought when starting up their own business is to be as successful as possible as quickly as possible. While success may be the goal, many aren’t willing to do what it takes to reach it: leaving your comfort zone and doing things you never thought possible.
But you don’t know what you don’t know. The only way to figure out the things you are unsure of is to dive right in and not be afraid to fail at it. Not be afraid to go where we have never been before to become the person we were always meant to be.
When people face adversity, their first thought is usually “I can’t do this” and they go back in the other direction instead of facing that head on. We remain where we are comfortable and tend not to stray, but this leads to stagnation. When we come to terms with this adversity and decide that we aren’t going to let it hold us back is when we step into that unknown terrain that will bring us one step closer to reaching the goals we set out to achieve.
Greatness is hard, and it should be, because nothing great comes easily. There isn’t a soul out there with all of the answers, but the ones who take the chances necessary to answer some of them are the ones who accomplish the most. Failure is not an end point, but rather a place to start and grow from, to pull lessons from and innovate the way you run your business. The path is not laid out for you because you must create it.
Every successful entrepreneur will tell you the same thing: push the boundaries. They got to where they are today because they made the decision to never give up on their dreams no matter what was thrown at them. It will cost you your current reality but only to bring a new reality that is bigger and brighter and everything you’ve imagined for yourself.
