People follow those that inspire them. Think about who’s pages you follow on social media. Is it because they follow trends? Is it because they are doing and saying what everyone else is? No, it’s because you look to them for inspiration and to get away from the “norm”.
When we think about our businesses, the same is true. Your customers don’t go to you because you’re just like every other business. They go to you for the unique experience that only you can offer them. You aren’t afraid to stick to your guns and align your business with your values instead of copying those around you.
The people whose only focus is numbers (followers, likes, bank statement) will never really see the success they desire. Those who use the vision they have for what they want their business to be and to represent as their guiding light end up achieving far more. They cater more to providing an experience for their customers and how they can impact the lives of the people in their community in a positive way. Having those elements be the very foundation of your business will not only bring you the patronage you desire, but the full and continued support of those customers brings you endless success.
