Why Being a Student of Life Is So Important

“I have been a seeker and still am but I stopped asking the books and the stars. I started listening to the teaching of my soul.” – Rumi. ⠀

I used to think that being a student of life meant you are learning all you can about whatever you can…you know the “good stuff.” But there’s actually more to it. It’s about trying things, failing, and then trying more things. It’s about falling down, and then getting back up and continuing to show up no matter what. It’s about learning to listen from within to what your soul is telling you, especially when your mind is saying “give up.”

What I’ve learned over the years starting my businesses is that falling down can actually help us to rise up. What’s even more awesome is that when we can take what we learned through all of our successes and failures, we can teach and share with others through these real experiences. If you feel like you should be further along in your business I got you, I see you, I hear you. I’ve been there and I’m hear to tell you that you are indeed brave, just for doing it and continuing to show up no matter what. You are brave for stepping out there and being a student of life. Keep going!

Btw, right after we took this picture a giant iguana decided to visit with me…he was just saying hello!

I’m learning to be brave all the time.
