If you’re an empath, like me, you’ve been feeling all of what’s been going on in the world. There is a lot of emotion and it’s taking a toll on many. But I truly believe that we needed these times to be brought upon us so that we can begin to heal as a nation. There are systems and ways of living in this country that have been wrong for so long and we are finally making moves to rectify them.
The United States has been going in one direction for a very long time. We’ve been functioning at such a high, fast pace with great innovations and technology and we desperately needed something to come and tell us to slow it down. To get us to pay attention more to the things that need it and become less self-involved. If we keep travelling down the path we are on, we are going to destroy the planet. The universe knows what it is doing, and it wants us to listen to it.
We’ve been awakened to a lot of problems and what these recent times are here to teach us is how to be resilient through them. And to be resilient we must first learn that before we can make real change in the world, each one of us individually has to look within themselves. Look at how you’ve been showing up in work and in life and ask “How can I show up better?”.
Having that awareness of self and how you present it is what makes someone resilient. If you are not aware of a problem, how can you change it? To recognize a situation and wake up to the reality of it all is the only way we can make the necessary changes needed to bounce back from any adversity. The answers to a lot of our lives’ problems lie within us; searching for them externally will often leave you worse off than you were to start.
This is where so many can go wrong. They come across a problem and immediately look for external solutions. They want someone to come save them and remain in an angry, defeated state instead of looking at the facts and what they can do to make them work. It’s hard to face those problems head on, especially if you are part of them, but I believe anyone can change the world if they have these three things:
- Having the confidence to know that you can do this, that you can figure out what you need to do to bounce back from anything.
- You know what you believe in, and what you stand for, and what you are going to do moving forward because that is what your business is about.
- Not just about the situation, but being clear and aware on everything in your life including how you show up or have not shown up when needed.
When all these things come together, there is nothing that can stop you. You are building a resilient mindset and business that when put to any test, you’ll come out swinging on the other side. And really what you are learning is how to be flexible. How to bend and twist and be put through the ringer on so many things, yet still thrive through it all. There is no telling when or what the next crisis will be, but if you can learn to have this mindset of being open and flexible to new ways or issues, you can be ready for anything.
If during this episode you’ve been thinking to yourself “You know what? I don’t have resilience built into my business. We just can’t seem to get our feet beneath us and I’m not sure how we are going to do this.”, then I have some good news for you…
This Thursday, June 18th, and again on Saturday, June 20th, I’m hosting a live, 90-minutre workshop which includes my 3-part framework on how to make the changes you need to build that resilience into whatever it is you do. This will also give you access to 5 short videos as well as worksheets to help you to really engrain this way of thinking into your everyday life. I usually only offer this to my one-on-one clients, but given everything happening in the world, I want to open it up to my community.
If you’re interested, follow this link to register and save yourself a spot in one of the two workshops dates. Hope to see you there! Until then, have a great rest of the week.
