Episode 4 – How Slowing Down Can Bring More Growth Into Your Business

Podcast

What does “slow down to speed up” actually mean?  As my mentor, James Wedmore says, the real work is in the rest.  In this episode we are diving into why slowing down and resting is important to the growth of your business and what you can do every day to “slow down”.

As entrepreneurs we feel like we need to be in perpetual motion all the time.  If we aren’t busy we aren’t making money.  This is such a backwards way of thinking that often leads many people working long hours every day and moving them towards burn out.  We weren’t meant to be moving and thinking 24/7 just like a car isn’t meant to go forever without filling up the tank with gas or recharging the battery.  And really, neither were you.  When we are constantly in a mode of grinding every day eventually our fire burns out and we can find ourselves resenting the work we are meant to do.

Over the years, I’ve learned the hard way when it’s time to slow down and take a break.  In this episode I’m sharing my lessons learned and how you can avoid the pitfalls of over working yourself to the point of burn out.

In this episode you’ll hear:

-How slowing down can bring you more ideas
-Why being a “grinder” will actually move you backwards not forwards
-How you can add “slow-down” time into every day
