A few clients and good friends of mine, Kenny Fisher and Victoria Brunner, are partners and cofounders of FattE-Bikes, an electric bicycle company out of Denver, CO. Though their company is growing by the day, it wasn’t an easy feat to start up and keep running a successful and profitable business.
Throughout their lives, they’ve each separately delved into the entrepreneurial world starting with lemonade stands as children, to multiple ventures as adults. When they met, they wanted to go in together on some ideas, and ones that were a little more meaningful to the world around them, and not just focused on the transaction.
What they’ve learned over the years is this: starting any kind of business is not for the faint of heart. It takes hard work, dedication, and an ultimate passion for what it is you’re trying to create. If you don’t have the resilience to withstand the inevitable challenges that come your way as a business owner, you’ll be left in the dust.
